The new drayage service will help AGRO integrate their supply chain offering.
AGRO Merchants Group, a global leader in cold storage and logistics solutions, announced the launch of a new service at its California operations. Commencing in March 2020, AGRO offers port drayage services to its customers to provide additional value and help integrate their supply chain.
The service includes the collection of customer freight from the port terminals in Los Angeles / Long Beach, delivery to AGRO’s temperature-controlled distribution center in Carson, CA, and the handling of their products within the DC, inclusive of value-added services. AGRO now offers customers several key advantages, including a single point of contact for activities, a more efficient flow and prioritized container unloading.
Steve Karo, Managing Director of AGRO Merchants Carson said: “This strategic investment continues to strengthen our position in the Los Angeles market, support our continued growth and our customers’ needs. This also expands AGRO’s expertise in drayage services – we currently offer similar, market-leading services in the ports of Philadelphia, Oakland, Savannah and Charleston.”
AGRO Merchants Carson specializes in offering integrated cold storage and logistics solutions for the fresh produce sector, including warehousing, quality assurance & product inspection, bagging, netting, waste management and fumigation.
